Welcome to my new site. I have been making cane rods for close to a quarter century. Man when I type that it is hard to believe that I have been doing this for that long. I started because I thought it would be cheaper to make a rod than to buy one. Boy did I get that wrong. I have since found that this is one of the most rewarding pursuits that I have ever engaged in. Bamboo rod making is an all encompassing obsession of mine that makes me forget the craziness of the world around me and to concentrate on straightening that node, planing that strip, and wrapping the silk. This craft has also given me the opportunity to meet some of the nicest and perhaps strangest people in the world-cane rod aficionados. I can’t tell you how many times I have been asked do you have a website? Well now I do. I would appreciate you reaching out and providing feedback as this is the first one I have developed.
